The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will continue the full closure of Florida's Turnpike southbound between Red Road and Snake Creek Canal for sign structure installation. This closure will take place 11 p.m. Tuesday, October 9 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 10 and 11 p.m. Wednesday, October 10 until 5 a.m. Thursday, October 11.
During this closure, motorists wishing to continue south on Florida's Turnpike will be detoured to exit at Red Road (Exit 43), travel north on Red Road to Miramar Parkway, west on Miramar Parkway to I-75, then south on I-75 to take the southbound exit ramp to Florida's Turnpike (Exit 5).
Scheduled for Thursday, October 11
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close northbound Florida's Turnpike at the I-75/Florida's Turnpike interchange for existing lighting removal. This closure will take place 11 p.m. Thursday, October 11 until 5 a.m. Friday, October 12.
During this closure, motorists wishing to continue north on Florida's Turnpike will be detoured to exit at I-75 (Exit 5), travel north on I-75 to Miramar Parkway east (Exit 7), continue east on Miramar Parkway to SR 823/Red Road, then south on SR 823/Red Road to take the northbound entrance ramp to Florida's Turnpike.
In the event of inclement weather or other unexpected conditions this work will be rescheduled.
