ABC Programming Shifting to Channel 3

Dear Blue Stream Fiber Customer,

We want to make you aware of a change coming to your TV channel lineup. Starting August 4, 2025, ABC programming will move from Channel 10 (WPLG) to Channel 3 (WSVN). No other channels will be affected.

This update follows an agreement between Sunbeam Television Corporation and ABC to begin broadcasting the network on WSVN and is not related to any changes made by Blue Stream Fiber. While ABC will have a new home, the shows and programming you’re used to will remain the same. The only difference you may notice is in the local news coverage.

Channel 10 will continue to operate as an independent station, offering its own mix of news, entertainment, and syndicated programming.

If you use a Direct Connect setup, you may need to rescan your channels on August 4 to see ABC on Channel 3. To do this, open the Settings menu on your TV remote, find the Channel or Tuning options, then start a channel scan (often labeled “Channel Scan,” “Auto Program,” or similar). The scan may take a few minutes and will update your lineup with the new channel.

In addition, if you have a OnePass or series recording set for ABC on Channel 10, it may need to be updated. If your OnePass is set to record from all channels, it should adjust automatically. If not, we recommend resetting your recording settings on August 4 by selecting

Menu > Settings > OnePass Manager.

Please be advised that effective immediately Grand Palms will no longer have courier services daily. Moving forward please do not bring your maintenance checks to the management office to be sent to our corporate office.

Please be advised that effective immediately Grand Palms will no longer have courier services daily. Moving forward please do not bring your maintenance checks to the management office to be sent to our corporate office. We recommend at this time you either mail your payments in with the envelopes you receive with your coupons, or you make take advantage of setting up your account with ACH (for those communities that offer it), you may also want to contact your bank and have them set it up on auto pay.

We are working on setting up a Fed Ex account for once a week that will have items go to our corporate office in Miami, however, if your checks are put in the box this may delay the posting time, and we want to avoid late payments being posted to your account.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however, going with the times and corporations going paperless, Miami Management implemented this new procedure.

Current Recycling Process through January 1, 2022

Now, through January 1, 2022, all waste and recycling programs shall remain as it currently is, and recyclable material will continue to be sent by Waste Pro to the Reuter Recycling Center. As a result, the City of Pembroke Pines continues to ask residents to source separate their materials between their garbage and recycling carts through January I, 2022.

Transition to the Waste-to-Energy Recycling Process

Beginning January 2, 2022, all residential trash and recycling materials collected from singlefamily residences by Waste Pro will be sent to the Wheelabrator South Broward Waste-toEnergy facility located on SR7/441 where it will be converted into electricity by incineration. By Florida statute, the incineration of refuse materials to make energy is considered recycling. This transition is the result of changes in the global recycling market and contamination issues. In the global arena, the U.S. no longer can sell recycling to China. Costs have risen three times from what they were when recycling began due to low, and in some cases, no demand in the global marketplace for materials such as glass and plastics #3 through #7, combined with the low value of mixed paper and high rates of contamination. If the recycling is contaminated with waste, the contaminated recyclables end up in the landfill. It is estimated that between 10% and 40% of the recyclable materials collected in Pembroke Pines are contaminated, making them non-recyclable. As this is the case for many cities, incineration has become best practices.

Please have registration available and a $10.00 check made payable to GPCA. All Decals will have to be placed on your vehicle by the Management Staff, if you are getting a decal for a visitor that does not live in Grand Palms, you can send them a Permanent Fast Pass or you will have to have the vehicle here in order for us to place the decal on the car.
